つば（鍔）は自らの手が滑らない為に、また敵から手を守る、そして バランスを保つ・・・という実用的な目的で刀に付けられています。 しかし、そのデザインは現代でも目を見張るすばらしさです。 その私たちの祖先のおしゃれ心を、クリップアートで表現してみました。 耳・・・つばの外周br笄櫃（こうがいひつ）・・・笄を通す 茎穴・・・刀を通すbr切羽台・・・刀を固定する 小柄櫃（こずかびつ）・・・小柄を通す 責金（せきがね）・・・刀の中心の動きを防ぐ 　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　「鍔小道具鑑定入門」参照 Tsuba( sword guard) was put on the sword with the purpose of keeping the benefit that a hand can't slide, and a balance of the body. These design are as wonderful as to open its eyes wide even in the present day.
